DESCRIPTION:Together with NVIDIA and OpenACC organization, the National C
 enter for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) will host a virtual Open Hack
 athon starting April 1 and concluding April 17.Open Hackathons are multi-d
 ay, intensive hands-on events designed to help computational scientists an
 d researchers port, accelerate and optimize their applications on a variet
 y of data center architectures including CPUs and GPUs. The event pairs pa
 rticipants with dedicated mentors experienced in programming and targeted 
 application areas to realize performance gains and speedups using a variet
 y of programming models, libraries, and tools.The goal of the Open Hackath
 on is for computational scientists to port, accelerate, and optimize their
  scientific applications to modern computer architectures, including CPUs,
  GPUs, and other computing technologies. Participating teams should leave 
 the event either with their applications accelerated and/or optimized on t
 he latest supercomputing hardware or with a clear roadmap of the next step
 s needed to leverage these resources.This hackathon is open to everyone lo
 oking to take their projects to the next level; however, priority acceptan
 ce will be given to NCSA and NAIRR affiliated scientists and their collabo
