SUMMARY:CI Pathways: Cyberinfrastructure Overview
DESCRIPTION:This session will provide an overview of the essential componen
ts and practical applications of cyberinfrastructure, starting with an int
roduction to its definition and key components including compute, data, so
ftware, networking, and people in the context of the NSF ACCESS program. P
articipants will learn the importance and benefits of integrating cyberinf
rastructure into their research processes. The session will then explore v
arious computational resources available to researchers, such as high-perf
ormance computing (HPC), to help participants identify the best options fo
r their needs. To illustrate the real-world application of cyberinfrastruc
ture, examples of successful research projects will be presented.CI Pathwa
ys is a training program led by the National Center for Supercomputing App
lications and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center funded by NSF award 241
7789. For more information about the program, please visit the CI Pathways
  webpage on HPC-Moodle.
