DESCRIPTION:Gabrielle Allen of The University of Wyoming, in collaboration 
 with the Computing Research Association (CRA), and faculty at Loyola Unive
 rsity Chicago, and the College of Charleston, invite educators and researc
 hers at Research Emerging Institutions with Small-Medium Computing Departm
 ents involved in incorporating advanced AI in coursework (machine learning
 , neural networks, intensive GPU processes) to apply to participate at thi
 s NAIRR Pilot national conference. The goal is to build a strong community
  of practice that expands AI education capacity and leverages shared NAIRR
  Pilot resources.Applications will begin being considered March 20th. Que

  is faculty from computing departments at Research Emerging institutions w
 ith Small-Medium Computing Programs.Research-emerging institutions are uni
 versities in the early stages of building research capacity, typically cla
 ssified outside the R1 tier in the Carnegie Classification system. This in
 cludes institutions classified as R2 (Doctoral University – High researc
 h activity) or recently R1, D/PU (Doctoral/Professional Universities), M1 
 (Master’s Colleges and Universities – Large programs), M2 (Master’s 
 Colleges and Universities – Medium programs), or M3 (Master’s Colleges
  and Universities – Small programs).Small-to-medium computing programs r
 efers to institutions where the total number of undergraduate and graduate
  students in computing is fewer than 1,000. Institutions with more than 1,
 000 computing students are encouraged to participate in the Research Emerg
 ing Large conference, while those with 750–1,000 students may choose ei
 ther track depending on their interests.If this is not you, please conside

 es if eligible.
