Melanie Williamson (Bluegrass Community and Technical College), in collaboration with the Computing Research Association (CRA), Christian Servin (El Paso Community College), and Beth Hawthorne and Huihui Wang (Northeastern University at Arlington), engaged faculty at community colleges in a series of virtual roundtable discussions and an in-person workshop to build a community of practice focused on increasing artificial intelligence (AI) education capacity and utilizing shared resources in the National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) Pilot.
The in-person conference was held at Miami Dade College on February 18, 2026.
