Your ACCESS Account

Creating Your Account

To access ACCESS resources, you'll need an ACCESS ID. Register on the ACCESS Account website to create one. Avoid creating duplicate accounts — if you already have an account, you can reset your password instead.

Existing XSEDE users: Your ACCESS ID is the same as your XSEDE Portal account. Do not create a new ACCESS ID. Your password and Duo registration carry over from XSEDE — no changes are needed.

When logging in select the identity provider you used when you registered.

  • If you use your ACCESS username and password, select ACCESS CI.
  • If you use your university credentials, select your university. If your university isn't in the list, ACCESS uses identity providers from CILogon — visit that page for details.

Logging In & Authentication

Forgot your username? Start the registration process. If an account is already associated with your email address, your ACCESS ID will be displayed after you verify your email.
Reset your password Visit account.access-ci.org/password.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) ACCESS uses Duo Security for MFA. To update or manage your Duo configuration, visit identity.access-ci.org/manage-mfa.
Trouble logging in? Try resetting your CILogon browser cookies — click Delete ALL at cilogon.org/me then try again. To fully log out, visit cilogon.org/logout.

Account Management

Profile Log into the ACCESS Account website and select Profile to update your name, email, or organization.
Linked accounts You can log into ACCESS using an external account (GitHub, Google, Microsoft, ORCID, or your university). To link or unlink accounts, select Linked Accounts in the ACCESS Account website.
SSH keys Select SSH Keys in the ACCESS Account website to view and manage your keys. See also the SSH for ACCESS Video Playlist.
Duplicate accounts If you accidentally created multiple ACCESS IDs, open a ticket specifying which ID you want to keep and which to mark as duplicate.

Support & Troubleshooting

For account issues, open a support ticket. Include as much detail as possible to help the team respond quickly.
