An Introduction to the Julia Programming Language
0
The Julia Programming Language is one of the fastest growing software languages for AI/ML development. It writes in manner that's similar to Python while being nearly as fast as C++, while being open source, and reproducible across platforms and environments. The following link provide an introduction to using Julia including the basic syntax, data structures, key functions, and a few key packages.
GIS: Projections and their distortions
0
In GIS, projections are helpful to take something plotted on a globe and convert it to a flat map that we can print or show on a screen. Unfortunately it also introduces distortions to the objects and features on the map. This not only distorts the objects visually, but the results for any spatial attribute calculations will also reflect this distortion (such as distance and area ). Below is a link to a quick primer on projections, types of distortions that can occur, and suggestions on how to choose a correct projection for your work.
Introduction to Probabilistic Graphical Models
0
This website summarizes the notes of Stanford's introductory course on probabilistic graphical models.
It starts from the very basics and concludes by explaining from first principles the variational auto-encoder, an important probabilistic model that is also one of the most influential recent results in deep learning.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced data scientist, this guide will help you unlock the full potential of R in the realm of data science.
Building the ArduPilot environment for Linux
0
This article provides instructions for building AirSim, an open-source simulator for autonomous vehicles, on Linux. It outlines the steps to build Unreal Engine, clone and build the AirSim repository, and set up the Unreal environment. It also includes information on how to use AirSim and optional setups such as remote control for manual flight.
Understanding LLM Fine-tuning
0
With the recent uprising of LLM's many business are looking at way to adopt these LLMs and fine-tuning these models on specfic data sets to ensure accuracy. These models when fine-tuned can be optimal for fulfilling the specific needs of a company. This site explains explicitly when, how, and why models should be trained. It goes over various strategies for LLM fine -tuning.
The Official Documentation of Pandas
0
Pandas is one of the most essential Python libraries for data analysis and manipulation. It provides high-performance, easy-to-use data structures, and data analysis tools for the Python programming language. The official documentation serves as an in-depth guide to using this powerful tool including explanations and examples.
Regular Expressions
0
Regular expressions (sometimes referred to as RegEx) is an incredibly powerful tool that is used to define string patterns for "find" or "find and replace" operations on strings, or for input validation. Regular Expressions are used in search engines, in search and replace dialogs of word processors and text editors, and text-processing Linux utilities such as sed and awk. They are supported in many programming languages, including Python, R, Perl, Java, and others.

Paraview UArizona HPC links (beginner)
0
These links take you to visualization resources supported by the University of Arizona's HPC visualization consultant (rtdatavis.github.io). The following links are specific to the Paraview program and the workflows that have been used my researchers at the U of Arizona. Some of the pages linked are very beginner friendly: getting started, working with cameras and keyframes for rendering, visualizing external files (netcdf climate data), graphs and data exporting.
Many of the workflows involve using remote desktops via the Open On Demand interface, but if this isn't set up at your university you can use paraview locally on a desktop. Feel free to post on access ci https://ask.cyberinfrastructure.org/ if you need assistance getting a paraview gui open for your work on HPC.
Solving differential equations with Physics-informed Neural Network
0
Differential equations, the backbone of countless physical phenomena, have traditionally been solved using numerical methods or analytical techniques. However, the advent of deep learning introduces an intriguing alternative: Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs). By leveraging the representational power of neural networks and integrating physical laws (like differential equations), PINNs offer a novel approach to solving complex problems. This guide walks through an implementation of a PINN to solve DEs such as the logistic equation.
ACCESS Campus Champion Example Allocation

ACCESS requests proposals to be written following NSF proposal guidelines. The link provides an example of an ACCESS proposal using an NSF LaTeX template. The request is at the DISCOVER level appropriate for Campus Champions. The file is 2 pages: the first page details the motivation, approach, and resources requested; and the second page is a 1-page bio.
